• contribute to the Debian NewbieDOC documentation for newbies project. You don't need to be a newbie to contribute. Just visit the project wiki and start typing
• have a look at the experimental Debian Community Knowledge Base on the Debian NewbieDOC wiki. The original discussion on the list gives the rationale
• help to get the Debian Quickstart project started
• summarize Events with Debian participation
• participate in the debconf translation effort and pimp your language up in the statistics!
• Ambassadors is a nice idea too, though this should probably/maybe be better discussed within debian first, before debian-community pushes this...
• http://foss.in/2007/register/slides/Contributing_to_Debian_for_dummies_348.pdf is a very nice talk by Christian Perrier, which nicely explains the many different ways to contribute

Current SVN Setup

• Currently only users with SSH access to the debian-community.org machine can commit. Some sort of infrastructure should be in place where users added to alioth get mirrored and get commit access.
• To commit to the wiki structure itself (css files, content, etc), use: svn+ssh://bikeshed.debian-community.org/srv/wiki/trunk
• To edit the systems configuration, checkout: svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/svn/d-community/trunk/fai-config-dir and run "sudo fai -N softupdate". It's important that the output of that command ends in "Congratulations! No errors found in log files" in the last but four line of the output."
